Job Description
What is the opportunity?
As the Head of Corporate Treasury APAC, you will be leading a team of liquidity risk professionals, shaping the operating model, influencing key stakeholders and contributing to strategic planning and business decision-making by providing insight, control and thought leadership.
What will you do?
- To develop and maintain a deep understanding of internal and regulatory liquidity requirements across the region, and use this to develop and communicate methodologies and insights to assist senior management’s decisions
- Actively manage and lead the liquidity management strategy including the Contingency Funding Plan and propose liquidity risk limits and operating targets
- Leading & participating in a diverse range of projects spanning liquidity & funding, interest rate risk and balance sheet optimisation across the region
- To manage the region's liquidity measurement function for internal and regulatory reporting
- Drive systems and process changes to enable high quality deliverables from Liquidity Risk
- Prepare and present at ALCO, LCT, NBC and other committees as appropriate
- Delegate for MD where needed
- Ensure appropriate ongoing training and professional development for self and direct reports, including identifying career opportunities
- Build the team's knowledge of the liquidity risk profile of products
What do you need to succeed?
Must Have:
- Strong understanding of financial markets products, businesses and strategies
- Excellent written / oral communication skills – in particular, demonstrated effective capabilities in impacting & influencing with an ability to communicate complex technical ideas to a diverse audience
- Experience working in a complex, matrix environment and proactively managing & partnering with a diverse set of stakeholders
- Analytical, commercial mind-set and enjoy problem solving
- Proven strong leadership and people management capability
- Be able to manage competing priorities effectively & efficiently
- Undergraduate degree in commerce/finance
Nice to Have:
- Proficiency with technology (SQL/Tableau BI)
- Knowledge of RBC financial systems and associated procedures
