Position Title: Senior Manager, Global Business Development - LATAM
Location: Miami or Mexico
Reports to: Senior Director, Global Business Development

Job Summary:

The Senior Manager will lead the online channel strategy and activation in the region with a view to increase market share of our brands in their respective categories across pureplay and retail.com platforms. This role will operate as a channel expert to other functions by sharing knowledge on the industry, ways of working and shopper habits as well as offer recommendations for an optimized representation and activation of our brands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overall responsibility for Amazon, pureplay, marketplaces, and strategic retail.com partners
  • Owns the P&L with the view to reach internal financial goals in alignment with customers’ JBPs
  • Develops 3-5-year vision in alignment with BU stakeholders and financial ambitions
  • Key advisor to BU leaders and influencer to Brand Teams in promoting a digital-first mind set
  • Provides on-going strategic insights and thought leadership based on industry, customer, shopper and marketplace trends to support category strategy
  • Develops category and brand revenue growth strategies from data, insights and identifies areas and events that stimulate awareness, consideration and sales
  • Owns promotions and assortment decisions, collaborates with internal teams and customers for effective product assortment, e-shelf merchandising, promotions and pricing recommendations
  • Can lead effectively and manage through customer communication during JBP and negotiations
  • Develops in partnership with key stakeholders in BUs, the commercialization and activation programs for the channel
  • Creates an omni-channel experience and drives initiatives that strengthen the digital IQ in the region, including the training of sales and channel teams on way-of-working for B&M retailers
  • Primary contact for strategic retail.com partner’s teams
  • Drives new market opportunities to create demand drivers for our brands and categories
  • Identifies global initiatives that are relevant for the market and aligns with division leads for execution
  • Reports into international team with matrix/dotted-line reporting into the region
  • Manage a team of junior managers, including performance reviews, recruitment, and development opportunities
  • Key interfaces with Division Leads, Brand Marketing, Trade Marketing, Customer Development, Supply Chain & Finance

Key Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of direct experience including +3 years at a senior leadership level.
  • Proven analytical and strategic experience with the ability to embrace the challenge of dramatically increasing revenue
  • Deep knowledge of product flow and web store performance optimization
  • Strong quantitative ability and comfort with data driven decision processes; a strong understanding of the key metrics to drive the business is expected of this executive
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively across lines of business
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment
  • Strong business acumen and negotiation skills
  • Ability to learn, understand and converse around key business issues.
  • Respected and trusted leader with a proven track record of achievement
  • Strong decision-making skills and an understanding of where projects fit into overall company and development strategies
  • Demonstrated integrity and maturity, and a constructive approach to challenges
  • Capacity to operate independently given direction, and bring ideas and solutions to issues raised
  • Interpersonal savvy; an ability to effectively work with and connect with all levels of employees across multiple functions and geographies
  • Ability to motivate teams to produce desired tangible outcomes within tight timeframes
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to lead multiple activities and assignments simultaneously
  • BS/BA or University degree in Business or similar field, MBA a plus
  • Experience working in a consumer-packaged goods (CPG), fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) and/or consumer durables industry preferred
