As an Operations Associate III with the Alternative Investments team, you will a key member of the team reconciling client’s Alternative Investment assets. The responsibilities of this position are challenging, invigorating, and rely on strong critical thinking skills and high attention to detail. You will provide analysis, processing, and customer service support for manual, exception-based, and highly specialized processes.

*This position will be eligible for a hybrid work model (in office and home)*

What will you do?

  • Act as a primary point of contact for firms and Financial Advisors for RBC’s Client Directed Alternative Investments
  • Review and reconcile statements and position files with RBC’s books and records, updating clients’ accounts and balancing positions
  • Execution of payments for clients for their Alternative Investments positions
  • Review and identification of incoming communications from third parties and the field, distributing to respective team members
  • Reduce risk or increase efficiencies by suggesting process changes and system modifications to streamline or simplify processes
  • Work with team and manager on initiatives and opportunities to provide top customer service

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • 4-year degree from an accredited university (or equivalent) OR High school diploma (or equivalent) AND 2 years of job-related experience.
  • Effective problem identification, analytical, and resolution skills along with proficient computer skills in Windows-based software products. Effective exceptions based processing skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, excellent customer service skills, organizational skills, and superb attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment.

Nice-to-have

  • 4-year degree from an accredited university in business, finance or related field.
  • 1+ year business, finance, customer service and/or accounting/bookkeeping experience.
