What is the opportunity?

RBC Investor & Treasury Services Malaysia is a processing center of operational excellence supporting 10 countries across three geographical time zones. Malaysia is one of two operational processing hubs that supports Custody - Transaction Management; Settlements; NAV Production; Fund Reporting; Shareholder Services; Global Fund Platform Services; Data Service Delivery; Entitlements – income and corporate actions and Reconciliations. The country employs a Global Operating Model to maximise efficiencies across times zones and supports a 24/5 operational capability. The objectives for Malaysia are to enhance the scalability of our global operations, improve service quality via our ‘centres of excellence’ and to implement/leverage standard processes globally.

As a Senior Administrator, Security Masterfile, you will be responsible to provide timely and accurate update and maintenance of all required security setups in Market Data Feed (MDF). You will be supporting Global business, with 8 working hours a day. The team supports global business, with shift rotation covering 9:00am until 9:00pm window.

What will you do?

  • Responsible to update accurate security setup in MDF as requested by clients. Internal clients would be such as Fund Accounting, Trade Capture, Corporate Action and Entitlements & Tax. External clients would be such as Bloomberg and Telekurs.
  • Ensure all security setups are updated according to service level agreement (SLA).
  • Acting as ‘checker’ for all security setups done in MDF.
  • Maintain efficient communication channels with managers, coordinators and team members.
  • Ensure effective logging and resolution / follow up of enquiries and liaise with appropriate parties to resolve / escalate queries / problems within agreed timescales.
  • Full awareness on RBC procedure and process library (PPL) and conduct periodical reviews and make necessary amendment to reflect the change process.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Knowledge in data vendors : Bloomberg, Telekurs, Financial Times and Reuters Knowledge in MS Office.
  • Proficient in English (written and oral).
  • Able to work under pressure following tight deadlines and/or SLA requirements.
  • Strong orientation to operational detail and accuracy.
  • Able to work independently and to coach, mentor and guide junior team members.

Nice-to-have

  • Securities operations experience.
  • Strong orientation to operational detail and accuracy.
