Job Description With anticipated award of a large contract modification, The F-35 Block 4 EW Modernization Program is experiencing significant growth in 2021 and 2022, and will double in size over that period. The Program Control Manager provides leadership and financial management in support of F-35 Block 4 family of programs. This position reports to F-35 Block 4 Finance Director and provides support and input to Product Line and Business Area Leadership regarding all financial matters related to the business. This is a highly visible position with opportunities to interface with both internal and external customers. This position requires strong business acumen, interpersonal and leadership skills
Specific Responsibilities of the position will include:
- Advises management of all financial matters in assigned financial area
- Possess an in depth understanding of and operates in accordance with all legal, ethical, and Company requirements, including Company policies and procedures, Standard Policies, Standard Operating Procedures and Department Instructions
- Participate in the evaluation and implementation of staffing needs and is responsible for assigning tasks, counseling, training, developing and evaluating a team of Finance professionals. Has authority to make decisions and take action regarding personnel matters
- Ensures accurate and timely reporting of financial data, the issuance of budgets, preparation of plans, and various other financial activities within the LOTac Block 4 EW team. This includes but is not limited to quarterly EAC updates, 1-Liner Reviews, Product Line Reviews and Business Area Level Reviews
- Lead implementation of accurate and efficient financial process including cost tracking and any associated allocation methodologies
- Coordinates with other finance and functional groups to assure consistency and integrity of data. Minimizes total cost in assigned financial area (including personnel, data processing support, other required support, etc.) through review of required output, efficiency of operations and assignment of appropriate and capable personnel
- Work closely with the central proposal team to adequately support a significant proposal portfolio to ensure the future financial success of the team
Required Education, Experience, & Skills Minimum Qualifications for this position are:- Bachelor's Degree and 8 years work experience or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
- Demonstrated problem solving and in-depth analytical skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and present financial data to other functions in an accurate, concise, and understandable manner
- Strong interpersonal skills to influence diverse work teams
- Ability to prioritize and self-manage a multi-tasked workload in a fast paced environment
- Ability to make decisions with sound judgment while complying with policies and procedures
- Experience in program finance and/or other finance functional disciplines that include Earned Value reporting
- Understanding and knowledge of industry practices and standards as well as company policies
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Preferred Qualifications for this position are:- Experience with Excel, Oracle, Hyperion, ProPricer, and Cobra
- Ability to challenge and improve current practices and standards
- Ability to develop and maintain professional and effective relationships with internal and external customers
- Previous experience in program control
