What is the opportunity?

The RBC US Wealth Management Operations team is hiring! As an Operations Associate II in the Deposits & Disbursements and ACH team, you will provide customer service and operational support related to ACH and Money Markets. You will partner with RBC Wealth Management branches, RBC Correspondent firms, RBC Advisor Services and various Operations departments in these requests. What will you do?

  • Provide superior customer service to RBC Wealth Management branches, Correspondent firms and other operations staff and act as a primary contact for all questions concerning Money Market, Visa, check writing, and Transfer on Death account set up.
  • Ensure all daily/weekly/monthly tasks related to fund balancing and reconciliation are completed in a timely manner.
  • Execute Money Market trades with external clients in an accurate and timely fashion.
  • Reconcile differences between customer ledgers and RBC WM’s general ledger as they relate to Money Market dividends, purchases, redemptions as well as checking and Visa products.
  • When necessary, research errors and make adjustments to entries to ensure accurate fund balances.
  • Calculate and process interest adjustments and money market balances for a specific date(s).
  • Process and respond to branch and firm requests such as: check orders, visa orders, stop payment requests, and Transfer on Death application set up in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Work on various department projects as a subject matter expert and provide meaningful feedback and contributions to the project. Assist Team Lead and Manager in the process of documenting and reviewing department procedures.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • 4-year degree from an accredited university (or equivalent) OR high school diploma (or equivalent) AND 2+ years of job-related experience.
  • Effective problem identification, analytical, and resolution skills along with proficient computer skills in Windows-based software products.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, excellent customer service skills, organizational skills, and superb attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment.

Nice-to-have

  • 4-year degree from an accredited university in business, finance or related field.
  • 1+ year business, finance, customer service and/or accounting/bookkeeping experience.
