[POSITION SUMMARY] The Associate, Payment Operations is responsible for supporting processing of payments and related activities. The Associate is involved in providing recommendations on how to improve processes or change the performance results directly relating to payment processing and supporting activities - and is expected to serve as a Subject Matter Expert. Additionally, s/he utilizes data and analysis to identify trends and issues as well as provide recommendations to resolve. As recommendations are approved, the incumbent plays a role in implementing the processes.[RESPONSIBILITY STATEMENTS]Analyzes, identifies, and implements potential process and systems enhancements to create efficiencies and reduce resource allocation for routine tasks, procedures, and reports; assist in the completion of projects and using discretion to determine the methods to meet established goals.,Assists in ensuring proper tax documentations are on file for all vendors and helping with the monthly/annual tax reporting requirements.,Contributes to month-end close responsibilities; including general ledger account reconciliations (i.e. accounts payable / accruals), purchase order review, booking manual journal entries and subledger maintenance.,Creates ad-hoc reports as requested in a timely and accurate manner, assist senior managerment with various tasks and items as needed, comply with all company policies and departmental procedures, ensuring honest and ethical conduct at all times while maintaining a positive attitude.,Designs, implements and maintains payments policies and procedures, with a goal of standardizing processes and procedures for scale.,Identifies potential opportunities for process improvement and report automation using various methods, i.e. databases, spreadsheets, external data sources, IT development, and execute changes to systems with little or no impact.,Identifies trends in payment processing and related activities, and uses trending to make strategic business decisions.,Participates and collaborates on developments of existing systems or new system implementations.,Prepares weekly cash forecast reporting to ensure proper funds are allocated for weekly payout cycles.,Prepares, produces, and validates daily, weekly, and monthly reports measuring, monitoring, and alerting the business regarding unforeseen shifts in the performance. Maintains external data files and input values into various reports in an efficient manner., Process full cycle procure-to-pay process for broadcasters and trade vendors; including but not limited to vendor on-boarding, reconcile vendor statements, preparing and/or reviewing purchase orders, invoice coding, tax compliance and weekly payment runs.,Serves as a Subject Matter Expert and fully understands processes and their impact on the overall business.[EDUCATION] Bachelor's Degree; in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Mathematics or Statistics.,or equivalent work experience; [WORK EXPERIENCE] 5-9 years; Accounting experience in accounts payable and accounting. [LICENSE/CERTIFICATION] CPA [SKILLS AND ABILITIES] Ability to build and maintain effective business relationships with internal and external partners,Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as interest, percentages and volume,Ability to successfully manage competing priorities with oversight and vision of various projects and initiatives to achieve organizational goals and deliver results,Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word,Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel, including the ability to create and work with Pivot Tables, SUMIF, VLOOKUP functions, and exposure to Macro,Comfortable operating within a fast paced\high volume environment,Demonstrated ability to problem-solve independently and drive results,Excellent verbal and written communication skills,Experience coordinating projects and leading programs for a financial services company or department,Experience implementing and utilizing project management software and programs/processes,Experience with SQL or Microsoft Access is a plus, Familiarity with Regulation E Dispute Processing for Consumer International Wires,Familiarity with various US payments methods and rules,Proven ability to work on high level value-add ad hoc projects while continuing to achieve routine goals,Strong analytical and mathematical skills,Strong problem solving and analytical skills,Willing to dig into the details of an issue alongside team members, direct reports and business partners [PHYSICAL DEMANDS] Minimal physical effort such as sitting, standing, and walking.
