We are seeking a highly motivated associate scientist to join the Assay Development Team (ADT) within LEM. We are a diverse and dedicated team responsible for the development and optimization of novel assays, screening and neutralizing immunogenicity assays, and target-engagement biomarker assays. These assays support internal discovery efforts and clinical studies. In addition, the ADT supports the pre-clinical portfolio by contributing to the assessment of immunogenicity risk through the quantification of pre-existing reactivity. This role is a part of a multi-disciplinary group of scientists collaborating on the investigation of immunogenicity, a highly dynamic and important area of interest for the company.

Key Objectives:

  • Assay Development: Work closely with members of the ADT in a highly collaborative environment and support the close partnership with interdisciplinary teams to build sensitive and robust assays to meet the requirements from regulatory agencies.
  • Assay Transfer: Maintain a strong relationship with LEM Scientific Implementation Group (SIG) and Clinical Advisory Group (CAG) to enable successful technical transfers to Contract Research Organizations, optimal performance of the assays, and interpretation of the clinical data, when needed.
  • Clinical Sample Analysis: Perform analysis of Clinical Samples, following the most current practices and SOPs in use.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in biology or a related area that provides the appropriate background

Additional Skills/Preferences:

  • Willingness to work in a highly collaborative and team-oriented environment
  • Strong attention to detail, flexibility and learning agility, accurate record keeping
  • Experimental design skills; scientific approach to problem solving, method development
  • Background in assay development (either ELISA or Cell-based) with at least 6 months of industry or academic experience in this area.
