Your Mission

You will lead multiple Application Development teams to drive a highly usable, powerful and compelling set of Tray applications. We believes that its UX is a distinguishing feature and competitive advantage for the business. In this role, you will be trusted with ensuring that we set a high pace of delivery of new features and improvements, driving a sense of innovation and movement to customers and to the market.

What you will do

• Manage the performance and professional development of multiple teams, each with their own manager/leader and product domain. Provide professional guidance to your leaders through coaching and mentorship
• Recruit, hire and develop talent within your teams
• Ensure high impact delivery across teams through thoughtful, appropriate and efficient processes that minimize overhead while maximizing quality and fast delivery.
• Drive the best business outcomes by serving as the “tie-breaker” when technical directions are unclear or where there is disagreement.
• Build and nurture a culture that values customer feedback and customer empathy, making sure that developers always have the context they need to build empathetic user experiences.
• Keep up-to-date on technical innovations, both inside and outside the team, which could inform the product roadmap and its implementation. Work across teams to normalize around key front-end technologies and frameworks. Continually look for ways to improve our code base, velocity and user satisfaction.

About You

• Extensive experience in senior leadership, managing multiple teams working on complex and compelling user experiences for consumer-facing products.
• Experience in managing and growing Engineering Managers across a sizeable organization
• A strong grasp of the primary UI technologies (Javascript, CSS, HTML) and the engineering challenges and trade-offs facing UX development
• A strong motivator and coach who can work to build and challenge leaders to produce more, improve quality of what their teams deliver, strengthen their teams and hire the best
• Excellent time management skills with an emphasis on managing remote resources around the world and across many different time zones
• Ability to identify and coordinate delivery of dependencies across multiple teams and products
