About the Role

The Warehouse Supervisor oversees functional areas in receiving, inventory management, staging, and shipping. This role will report to the Warehouse Manager, lead and develop a team of warehouse leads and associates, and collaborate with HelloFresh Planning, Procurement, Production, Food Safety, and Ops Tech teams to ensure the timely and accurate supply of goods and materials in the Distribution Centre.

You will...

  • Be responsible for directing and supervising a group of employees involved in warehouse operations procedures concerning receiving, shipping, inventory controls, staging, replenishing of goods, and logistics
  • Manage the warehouse team to receive goods on-time and in-full; and ensure that material shortages are escalated quickly and accurately in the warehouse management system
  • Plan and schedule warehouse staff to ensure coverage and synchronization to weekly inbound, production, and outbound schedules
  • Conduct weekly cycle counts, inventory reporting, and variance analysis to ensure inventory accuracy and completion of root cause analysis and corrective actions to address material variances
  • Update data in the warehouse management system; must be able to use a computer and type/data entry using computer programs (Microsoft Office, Google Sheets)
  • Maintain a clean, organized and safe warehouse and storage locations as prescribed in internal DC standards
  • Train, coach, and guide warehouse team members on HelloFresh best practices, including Lean Operations, GMP, HACCP, and Safety through training programs and performance reviews
  • Coordinate with 3PLs, suppliers, planners, and buyers to level-load inbound/outbound schedules and optimize space, storage, labour, and dock utilization
  • Identify, manage, and implement CAPEX requirements, e.g. material handling equipment, racking and maintenance
  • Drive continuous improvement by guiding the warehouse team in identifying improvement opportunities in safety, quality, and efficiency

At a minimum, You have...

  • 5 - 10 years of warehouse, manufacturing and/or supply chain management experience; Bachelor’s and/or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Business or a related field is preferred, but not required
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, best practices, and systems
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Professional certifications and/or licenses, e.g. Lean Six Sigma, First Aid, Forklift License a plus
  • Meal kit industry work experience a plus
