The Role: In this role, you will:

  • Provide support to Engineering and Manufacturing in the Material Evaluation and Failure Analysis Laboratory.
  • Perform testing to ensure devices meet specifications (electrical, mechanical and environmental criteria).
  • Perform root cause failure analysis of electronic assemblies and components.
  • Use a variety of electronic test equipment like oscilloscopes, power supplies, signal generators, curve tracer, DVM’s, LCR meter, network analyzers, etc.
  • Use a variety of lab equipment such as low magnification and high magnification microscopes, cross-sectioning equipment, laser decap machine, X-ray, etc.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

Required Education, Experience, & Skills:

  • High School Diploma or AA/AS degree or other 2-year post high school training with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for frequent interaction among engineers, peers and management.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Familiar with test equipment or lab equipment used for non-destructive and destructive analysis.
  • US Citizen
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills:

  • Past experience in failure analysis of electronic assemblies
  • Past experience testing and analyzing electronic components and materials
  • 5+ years of experience in a material evaluation or failure analysis laboratory
  • Capable of obtaining a U.S. DoD Secret security clearance
