Job Description

ADP is seeking a Product Marketing Director, Human Resource Outsourcing (HRO) within the business serving the Canadian market. The successful candidate will be a proven, results-oriented professional that helps our team drives sales of products across the segments served in this market, while also owning product marketing responsibilities for specific outsourcing offerings in our portfolio.

This position is part of the Growth Marketing team, which includes Product Marketing, Business Unit Marketing, Competitive Intelligence, Analyst Relations, Market Insights & Pricing, and Pre-Sale Product Experience. The team's charter is to

The Director, Product Marketing will serve as a vital player/coach to support sales of our offerings in Canada with a specific focus on our outsourcing business. Reporting into the VP Marketing Canada with a strong dotted line into the Senior Director Product Marketing, this person plays a key role in being an expert on our key growth products and communicating it to our audiences. In a competitive market, it is important to position our human capital management (HCM) product capabilities and innovations with clarity, differentiation and impact. Building awareness of ADP's Comprehensive Services is critical for the Canadian market. The role will leverage our market insights and competitive intelligence and work closely with product management and the sales organization. Foundational activities include driving go-to-market approaches, crafting compelling product messaging, and measuring adoption and performance of deliverables.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as the in-market lead for outsourcing product marketing in Canada across all segments
  • Manage and execute day-to-day product marketing activities for our Small business, mid-market, large company outsourced services offerings
  • Lead projects with complexity and significant impact on the business
  • Anticipate market needs by understanding trends and regulatory issues
  • Steer the direction and allocation of resources for product marketing programs in the Canadian market, and work with the cross-functional teams to execute programs
  • Deliver positioning, differentiated messaging and related assets that equip the sales team to win new business and expand client relationships
  • Provide an outside in view of the human capital management (HCM) world to ADP and infuse that view into deliverables
  • Research and incorporate competitive awareness/differentiation, market sizing and other intelligence to inform strategies and content
  • Create and implement product marketing strategies which elevate ADP's position in the market
  • Lead and execute applicable outsourcing product launches including the overall go to market strategy
  • Act as a link between Product Management, Business Unit Marketing and Corporate Marketing to ensure adequate marketing plans, launch plans and communications are created and followed for successful go-to-market
  • Collaborate on product demo strategies and messaging
  • Maintain accurate measurement and metrics on product sales and performance

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's degree required or equivalent in education and work experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years in product marketing and related role
  • Knowledge and experience in technology and Software as a Service (SaaS).
  • Experience in working with and empowering sales teams.
  • Technology product messaging and launch experience with proven results.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Preference will be given to candidates who have the following:

  • Knowledge and experience in Human Capital Management (HCM)
  • Experience working with large, global businesses

  • Exceptional business acumen with the ability to uncover an understanding of clients' and prospects' most critical business needs and demonstrate how ADP's capabilities can drive business value
  • Comfortable with ambiguity
  • Ability to maneuver within a matrix organizational design environment
  • Demonstrated experience in building breakthrough product positioning and go-to-market strategies that drive marketing and sales performance
