About the job

The Raw Materials Technologist will be responsible for assessing raw materials coming in and building data based off these observations around the suppliers at our Banbury Distribution Centre along with helping out with the FSQA initiatives and projects.

What you will be doing:

• Checking all the incoming raw materials against specifications
• Raising non-conformances and communicating issues with internal and external contacts
• Maintain shelf life sampling
• Completing essential administrative tasks to generate data related to the status of raw material
• In depth investigation on problematic materials
• Carrying out quantitative checks as per specifications
• Managing the hold and release function
• Carrying out scientific tests
• Ensuring the intake area is audit ready and participate in site audit programmes
• Working towards OKRs and KPIs set for the team
• Championing food safety and Health & Safety Culture
• Any other tasks allocated at FSQA management request

Who you are:

• Previous experience working in Quality function with a focus on incoming materials
• Willingness to operate in a physically demanding role
• Excellent computer skills

Highly advantageous:

• Previous experience in a similar role
• Good understanding of food raw materials
• Knowledge of HACCP, BRC and GMP
• Food related degree or similar
