Job Description BAE Systems Inc, is currently recruiting for a LCS PMAV Program Manager (Program Manager I) supporting the Jacksonville Ship Repair business. Reporting to the LCS Program Manager, you will manage, coordinate, plan, organize, control, integrate, and execute a project or collection of PMAV projects. You will ensure achievement of financial, schedule, technical and new business performance objectives; participate in the support of new business and in the development of financial plans for the company. You will also model and demonstrate strong leadership in ethics, safety and security.
BAE Systems Jacksonville Ship Repair is supporting our US NAVY (SERMC) customer in surface ship maintenance and repair of the (LCS) Littoral Combat Ship class deploying to Caribbean, South America, Europe and Middle East as part of OCONUS work overseas. US NAVY has solicited (PM) Preventative Maintenance, (FM) Facilities Maintenance, (CM) Continuous Maintenance and (EM) Emergent Maintenance support of the LCS Class ships.
Preventative Maintenance work involves executing pre-planned tasks such as inspecting equipment, checking fluid levels and filters, and running test routines on shipboard components. Facilities Maintenance services will entail cleaning and preserving pre-designated areas of the ship. Continuous Maintenance work will consist of repair/refurbishment tasks that are identified as the ship’s deployment unfolds.
Our Program Managers act as leaders and initiators in Environmental and Safety; ensure team compliance with all company & OSHA regulated safety requirements/standards, and environmental and ethical requirements.
Responsibilities Include:

• Accountable for all aspects of assigned development or production programs including execution (cost, schedule, technical performance, quality, inventory management, and customer engagement) and ensuring program commitments are met, having the authority to make cogent and timely decisions related to the project or collection of projects.
• Acts as primary point of contact between BAE Systems and the customer program office, suppliers, and key customer stakeholders.
• Responsible and accountable for program execution, profitability, timeliness, and overall success. Makes decisions that are cost effective to the company and ensures assigned projects meet financial commitments for orders, sales, profit and cash flow.
• Leads or participates in the creation of new business strategies, product roadmaps and captures including development of strategic and financial plans. Leads the development and delivery of new business captures and proposals
• Models and demonstrates strong leadership in ethics, safety and security.
• Direct people-management responsibility

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

• Detailed knowledge of the US NAVY PMAV market
• Train and certified in the US NAVY PMS performer qualification 3M 301
• Overseas travel approximately 30%
• Must be able to obtain any Passport and visas required for deployment
• Must be able to acquire all Synchronized Pre-deployment Operational Tracker (SPOT) registration/reporting
• Registering with the State Department (local embassy or consulate)
• Submit and Obtain DOD Theater and Country Clearances
• Processing employees in and out of theater through a deployment center
• Meet all required medical screening
• Must be able to obtain all required immunizations per DoD
• Obtaining Geneva Conventions ID cards
• Obtaining World Health Organization (WHO) Shot Records
• Demonstrated experience leading and inspiring diverse teams in a high tempo environment
• Successful, proven past performance in leading and managing multi-discipline programs
• Experience in managing complex development projects and/or Integrated Product Teams
• Experience Managing Life Cycle Management Programs
• Very strong presentation and organizational skills
• Highly adaptable with a high degree of initiative
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• New Business Capture Lead experience / Proposal manager experience
• Experience in business case development, analysis, and presentation
• Strong business acumen
• Relevant Experience

  • 10+ Years with AA
  • 8+ Years with BS
