Job Description

Verisk 3E is looking for an experienced Product Designer to join the Product team supporting 3E Notify. We are open to this position being based in Carlsbad, CA; Canton, OH or Bethesda, MD.

As a Product Designer, you will bring your expertise in design techniques related to customer discovery, development of prototypes, product usability, to name a few.

In this role you will:

  • Collaborate with Product Manager to shape and communicate a compelling long-term design strategy and vision
  • Be proactive in identifying opportunities, creating strong partnerships internally, and identifying opportunities to improve and extend our products to benefit our users
  • Be comfortable developing multiple, divergent concepts before finalizing based on research and experimentation
  • Conduct product discovery activities including protype design, user testing and data analysis to support product manager decisioning
  • Develop interaction design for new features and ensure product in aligned with marketing visual brand principles
  • Develop appropriately detailed user stories and requirements for product features so that they are clearly understood by the development team
  • Work with Product Management to create and maintain a product backlog and prioritize activities based on business value and customer impact
  • Provide an active role in identifying and mitigating impediments impacting successful completion of Sprint or product release goals
  • Develop and analyze customer feedback to prioritize product enhancements and new development opportunities
  • Manage schedule and work with stakeholders to ensure successful product releases

Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience acting as a Product Designer UI/UX Design or related role required
  • Experience working in an Agile software development with SaaS models preferred
  • Skilled at working effectively with cross functional and remote teams
  • Creative thinker with a passion for delivering best in class products and user experience
  • Sharp analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Outstanding communication, presentation and leadership skills
  • Bachelors degree in a technical or business field preferred
