Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of technical leadership and people management experience.
• Software development experience in one or more general purpose programming language (e.g., C/C++, Java, or Python).
• Ability to speak and write in English and Chinese fluently.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's or PhD in Computer Science or related discipline.
• 10 years of experience in system-level software development (e.g., Linux kernel, drivers, Android BSP, etc.).
• 7 years of technical leadership and people management experience.
• Experience working with OEMs and SoC partners to raise the quality and performance of their devices is a plus.

On Android TV, our mission is to build a ubiquitous TV operating system that brings the best of Google to the living room. You will build a team to work closely with various OEM and system on a chip (SoC) partners in APAC to dramatically raise the quality of devices powered by our operating system while scaling to many users.

Responsibilities

• Build, manage, and grow a systems software engineering team.
• Develop system softwares and tools on Android operating system for Google TV, OEMs, and SoC partners.
• Build partnership with internal system software teams; drive relationships with key SoC partners, as well as the TV OEMs in the region.
• Inspire and motivate the team with an excellent technical vision.
