Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience in either strategy consulting, category management, marketing or related experience.
  • Must have work authorization in Australia.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience managing first and third-party research and tools.
  • Experience developing influential stories grounded in consumer and industry insight.
  • Industry expertise and understanding of the customer value chain.
  • Understanding of the digital landscape, including digital marketing.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to see granular, as well as big-picture issues.
  • Excellent communication, project management, and organizational skills.

About the job

You will work within the Google Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) and Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) industry sales teams to define a strategy for partnering with the leaders of many of Australia’s largest organizations to build strong relationships and deliver results using Google’s platforms. Using a strategic approach, strong problem solving mindset and eagerness to get to the real issue, you’ll help your team identify and solve client and industry-wide problems. You’ll be an expert in developing powerful industry and consumer insights and turning them into compelling stories that inspire internal and external stakeholders to think and act differently.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a unique point of view and thought leadership for Google across your industries.
  • Develop compelling industry and consumer insights (i.e. qualitative/ quantitative) using a variety of internal and external sources.
  • Partner closely with Google’s market research team to lead consumer-focused research projects and then activate them across the client portfolio.
  • Engage and influence internal and external stakeholders; build, customize, and deliver solutions through forums (e.g., presentations, workshops, etc.) to achieve outcomes.
  • Input into sales planning, identifying industry and customer trends and opportunities. Partner with the team to translate the strategy into actions that will drive business outcomes.
