You'll be a part of the Infotainment Systems Engineering organization working within the Infotainment & Connectivity Software Team, User Experience, Infotainment Integration Team, Project Management & Connectivity Technologies team, primarily focused on Testing software for Infotainment Phone Projection and Digital Keys focused on Audit and Certification requirements. In this role you'll create detailed Timelines and Testing requirements. You'll interact across organizations to ensure Infotainment and Digital Key Benches are prepared, tested and shipped for Audit/Certification events.

You'll be able to lead advanced development work for continuous improvement initiatives of test processes and methodologies including virtualization.

Hybrid: This position does not require an employee to be on-site full-time to perform most effectively. This position requires an employee to be onsite 3+ times per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify & Select Bench needs for each early pre-test, supplier pre-Audit and Partner Audits. Place orders for Audit/Certification Benches.
  • Ensure benches are fully functional and vehicle representative for Audit/Test.
  • Prepare, Test and Ship Benches to partners and internal customers
  • Lead Bench timeline and resources to utilize the benches for Certification activities, ie. time for UX for IDG etc. etc..
  • Define test strategy and test plan based on software development plan
  • Design detailed test cases based on requirements and test plan
  • Plan and setup vital test equipment and environments (simulation, hardware, or vehicle) for test execution and automation
  • Integrate and configure the different modules and accessories to make the test hardware and equipment fully functional and with right software versions
  • Implement the test, prepare test report, provide initial issue analysis, and contribute to defect prevention
  • Craft and develop test tools and test scripts to automate the testing
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of test processes and methodologies including Virtualization
  • Maintain Benches post Audit/Certification Activities includes storage and log (component and full bench).
  • Read across between all Infotainment platforms (ie. learnings to be shared across all Infotainment & Digital Key platforms)

Additional Job DescriptionMinimum Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of software & hardware integration, test and troubleshooting hands-on experience in automotive, mobile or other embedded system areas
  • 2+ years of software quality assurance or test experience on software components
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent field
  • Proven knowledge of hardware and software interface and integration
  • Proven knowledge of software quality assurance methodologies and tools
  • Experience with vehicle communication network protocols (CAN, MOST etc) as a plus
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated, able to deliver on time, a quick-thinker, a quick-learner and able to work in a fast-paced work environment
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, coordination skills, and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of software & hardware integration, test and troubleshooting hands-on experience in automotive, mobile or other embedded system areas
  • 2+ years of software quality assurance or test experience on Android software
  • Advanced degree preferred
  • Product development or testing experience in Digital Keys, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, connectivity, or multimedia domains
  • Knowledge of Scrum/Agile software development process
