What is the opportunity?

The Personal and Commercial Banking (P&CB) arm of RBC is in the preparation stages of launching a ground breaking program to deliver the best customer experiences by equipping our advisors with the very latest technology and processes in the industry. We have partnered with Salesforce to build out our next generation CRM Advisor Platform, the cornerstone of this critical transformational program. Of course, the journey would not be possible without world class talent. We’re in search for Senior Business Systems Analysts to help us break new technology ground. You’ll be joining a diverse and inclusive agile lab delivering solutions on Salesforce’s Financial Services Cloud and Lighting platform. We’re pulling all the stops and employing the latest in technology and scaled agile practices to help bring to life the CRM Advisor Platform of the future here at RBC.

What will you do?

The Senior Salesforce Business Systems Analyst will be responsible for business analysis activities on the CRM Advisor Platform initiative, within an agile delivery environment. The role demonstrates advanced knowledge and ability, and can apply the competency in new or complex situations and guides other professionals. You will be responsible for execution of all aspects of requirements delivery - planning, elicitation, analysis and documentation, management, and support - for changes to Business Areas and Technology. You will work closely with the development team and business partners to implement CRM capabilities on the Salesforce platform, and contribute to the design and development on the Salesforce Financial Service Cloud to drive business value. You will also:

  • Provide thought leadership and direction to maximize our CRM transformation with the Salesforce platform
  • Lead scrum teams in gathering requirements and documenting system solutions in the form of user stories, story maps, features, epics using agile tools and processes to develop/enhance functionality on the Salesforce platform, including the business analysis and estimates
  • Actively contribute in any team discussions, value add by sharing experiences or providing know-how to the team best leverage the out of the box capabilities
  • Define the business analysis approach, plans and accurate estimates for requirements, including tasks & deliverables using Agile methodology and tools, and continuously refine them for accuracy
  • Lead requirements prioritization and leverage techniques to drive out business priorities
  • Facilitate collaborative sessions with large and diverse business stakeholder groups to drive requirements discovery, analysis, and review
  • Communicate the impact of changes through cost-benefit analysis taking into consideration time, effort, and business priorities
  • Support Design, Development and Testing activities by providing requirements clarifications and root-cause analysis

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Hands-on experience supporting Salesforce CRM platform
  • 5+ years working as a Business Systems Analyst with proven experience in agile delivery, in the area of requirements management on large and complex projects
  • Combination of traditional business analysis skills with lean/agile analysis skills, and the ability to identify the need for and use techniques from either skillset (system context diagrams, use cases, storyboards, relative estimation)
  • Experience in requirements planning and prioritization including stakeholder analysis and effort estimation
  • Requirements elicitation techniques such as Data Analysis, Document Analysis, Interviews, Facilitated Workshops, Observation, Prototyping, Focus Groups, Surveys
  • Requirements management and communication – requirements walkthroughs; scope and change management; traceability; configuration management, backlog management & prioritization

Nice-to-have

  • Relevant college, university, or post-graduate degree in Business Analysis or related education (CBAP, PMI-PBA)
  • Experience implementing CRM solutions in the financial sector and/or Salesforce Administrator certification
  • Critical Thinking and Design Thinking skills with experience in User Centered Design
  • Recent retail branch experience
