The operations manager will report to the Site Sr. Operations Manager, Miami MRO, and will contribute positively to the overhaul of landing gears, continuously improving efficiency and turnaround time, while managing and controlling costs.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • This position will be responsible for all or a major portion of processing operations in a plant. Oversees production operations (shop floor management, workforce management, and flow disruption management), maintenance, plant engineering, scheduling and personnel. Directs scheduling to meet production schedules.
  • Manages and supervises the work of manufacturing production disciplines in the Operations function. Manages multiple cells' performance and productivity to maximize productivity.
  • Performs professional or management work regularly across multiple Manufacturing disciplines.
  • Includes activities that cannot be attributed to a defined Operations discipline.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience OR
  • Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years’ experience OR
  • In absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder

Perferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in managing s a team of cell leaders to ensure all quality related items are complete and documented.
  • Experiecne in cost reduction and process improvement to ensure efficiency of operations and cost effectiveness.
  • Production schedinging.
  • Able to set the sequencing of work, such as build and delivery, to optimize productivity.
  • Abiltiy to leads materials and logistics problem resolution to ensure availability of materials and smooth operations.
  • Manage multiple cells' performance and productivity to maximize productivity.
  • Directs production innovation, including additive manufacturing, to enhance production capabilities.
  • Liaises with customers to understand customer needs and issues and ensure that the customers receive satisfactory standards of services.
