This position is for an experienced financial planning and analysis professional in the Avionics Finance organization. The role requires excellent communication skills and critical thinking. The analyst will work closely with other analysts, finance leadership and functional leadership to support the balance sheet and backlog planning and reporting as well as processing journal entries and various other financial analysis.
Primary Responsibilities

  • Responsible for preparing forecasts and performing financial modeling to develop and provide reports and recommendations for management.
  • Performs month-end closing process to ensure timely completion and accuracy – analyze and book recurring and non-recurring journal entries, perform assigned month-end tasks, analysis on actuals and latest forecast, and complete deliverables
  • Supports monthly; quarterly; annual forecasting process
  • Support executive leadership demonstrating an understanding and presenting financial information.
  • Reconcile financial data to support the financial closing/forecast process for cash flow and will utilize Hyperion and SAP for analysis and reporting.
  • Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Forecast/Assessment development, consolidation, review for a large organization in Avionics.
  • Conducts financial analysis, research, budgets, and forecasts to support business goals and decisions.
  • Provides reports to finance or functional management on financial analysis results and recommendations.
  • Implements consistent processes to support financial goals and objectives.
  • Leads medium-scale projects
  • Actively look for Continuous improvement on tools and processes aimed at improving efficiency

Basic Qualifications

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Person/Permanent Resident "Green Card" holder
  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience OR In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required

Preferred Qualifications

  • SAP or HFM experience
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Master's degree in finance, accounting, business or related field
  • CPA/CMA
  • Understanding of military contracts and government accounting
  • Sound reasoning skills and ability to work with a broad base of technical, operations, and finance
  • Adaptability to manage multiple and varied tasks
  • Ability to work with individuals and teams at all levels of the organization
