This position is for a business development professional for Rotary Wing Technology within our Defense Systems and Visual Products team for the Simulation Solutions & Services business. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, incubating, pursuing and capturing simulation and training opportunities for Defense and Commercial platforms. The position will primarily focus on rotary wing opportunities. The environment is fast paced, highly technical and challenging.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • The successful candidate will work with a team of business development and marketing professionals in conjunction with program management and engineering leads, to uncover, pursue and capture new business
  • Day to day activity includes responsibility for developing, forecasting, and capturing new opportunities and maintaining relationships with existing customers
  • Develops and presents compelling strategic and business growth opportunities that may include market and competitive analysis
  • Continually scans environment for business and strategic growth opportunities
  • Working with cross-functional, cross-enterprise teams
  • Networks with senior internal and external personnel in area of expertise. Represents organization as a prime contact on projects
  • Interacts with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters, often requiring coordination between organizations
  • Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of multiple factors. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions, where erroneous decisions or failure to achieve objectives would have a serious impact on the organization
  • Normally receives minimal supervision on day-to-day work and general instructions on new assignments

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of relevant experience OR
  • Advance degree and 7 years of relevant experience OR
  • In absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience is required
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Maintains or is eligible for US DoD Top Secret security clearance.
  • Direct experience working in the U.S. DoD/DoE/DHS community, PEO Aviation, PEO STRI, NAWC TSD, US Army, US Navy, US Marine Corp., USAF, and US SOCOM
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience through a combination of military, government and/or defense aerospace/electronic industry positions

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience at the military Service level in organizations such as CJCS, Naval Staff, USN OPNAV, FLEET/TYCOM/MAJCOM/CECOM highly desired
  • Strong, demonstrated background in military & US Navy C2 structure and networks, and Strike and ISR technologies at the Operational and Tactical Levels of warfare
  • Professional verbal and writing, presentation skills mandatory
  • Multi-Domain Command and Control/Battle Space Experience/Operational Experience a Plus
  • Passion to lead and grow the business
  • Demonstrated experience in in Microsoft Office products and/or SaleForce CRM tool
  • Position is located in Orlando, FL but may be remote depending on qualifications
  • Travel up to 25% may be required
