ABOUT THE POSITION:
The Manager, Management Consulting is responsible for focusing on the 3-5k foot view of a client engagement. You will act as a trusted advisor to our large customers and ensure their success. You will help customers achieve business value and get the most out of their investment with Salesforce and Lev.
The Management Consultant will have a strong passion for driving results and articulating Lev’s value proposition. You are a great fit for this role if you thrive on giving structure to “grey” space, have strong financial and technical acumen, and are comfortable navigating through conflict to drive results.
Success in this Role Looks Like:
- Manage a team of 2-7 Management Consultants with varying degrees of experience. This is a critical role that is tasked with the health, happiness and effectiveness of their team. Manager responsibilities include:
- Define processes, standards and templates for Management Consultants in collaboration with the Director, Management Consulting.
- Ability to mentor and develop team members including recruiting, hiring, and training.
- Set and manage performance expectations with the team.
- Assist with project staffing, ensuring the workload of the team is balanced.
- Onboard and train new team members.
- Managers carry a billable workload as well, performing the same duties as a Senior (or above) Management Consultant, which include:
- Identify customer needs through market research and apply deep industry expertise to address customer needs (roadmap discussions and integration strategies).
- Analyze status quo (people, process and technology) and develop recommendations for improvement (short, medium and long term).
- Strategic consulting in industry best practices across Salesforce products.
- Client relationship management with focus on customer retention.
- Be a trusted advisor to enable customers to achieve their business objectives using Salesforce tools and influence account growth.
- Communicate consistently with customers throughout the engagement lifecycle, managing customer expectations and managing through issues and escalation.
- Frequent interaction with customers including Directors, VPs and C-level executives.
- Connect client strategy with delivery team execution.
- Collaborate and partner with external (Salesforce) and project teams on project execution.
- Collaborate with sales teams on account strategies.
Required Qualifications:
- You have BA/ BS or equivalent experience
- Prior experience in a Management Consulting, Program Manager, Customer Success Manager, or Account Manager role
- You have 5+ years in consulting/professional services experience
- You have 3+ years people management experience
- Experience in healthcare, financial services, media or tech industries
- Experience in the Salesforce ecosystem
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- People management experience
- Ability to coach and professionally develop consultants
- Comfort having tough or sensitive conversations around salary, workload, expectations, and areas of improvement.
- Consulting experience
- You are experienced at taking ideas and ambiguous data, defining the right outcome, and then mapping the right roadmap to get there.
- You can communicate and articulate the roadmap and requirements to execs, team members and customers.
- You are able to comfortably handle many concurrent projects and todo’s, and instinctively re-prioritize often without needing guidance. Lev is in a high growth stage and you will be comfortable with the level of ambiguity and workload that entails, as well as, have the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- You have the ability to roll up your sleeves and pick up work outside of your role definition when you need to.
