Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

• 7 years of experience implementing, troubleshooting, and supporting Unix/Linux systems, Internet-based applications, and web servers.
• 5 years of experience in cloud computing emerging technologies or related technical fields.
• Experience using programming/scripting languages (such as PowerShell, Python, Bash, Go, etc).

Preferred qualifications:

• 5 years of programming experience in Python, Go or a related language, and comfort working in a Linux environment including automation.
• Experience with cloud development APIs, tools, and services.

As a Systems Administrator at Google, you own and support the needs of one of Google's server infrastructure systems. You're highly technical and work directly with other server and service owners to ensure reliability and sustainability of the Google service infrastructure as well as compliance with internal policies. Success in this role means you are able to support servers in a mixed operating system environment and work efficiently with our internal technology providers as well as other operations groups. Googlers rely on your guidance when it comes to design decisions so you'll have a direct impact in keeping the business productive.

As a member of the Enforcement Detection Analysts (EDA) Cloud system administration and application team you will support, develop, and improve the job scheduling environment for hardware design workflows. This is a unique environment in Google, blazing new trails in bringing Electronic Design Automation technical stacks and workflows into Google Cloud Platform.

In this job you'll be assisting in bringing cloud technologies to an industry traditionally focused on physical computation. Google is leading the way in supporting hardware design workflows on cloud technologies and you will participate in being on the forefront of this effort./p>

Responsibilities

• Develop a broad understanding of EDACloud's technical stack and identify areas for improvement.
• Provide technical leadership and contribution to EDACloud systems and workflows.
• Develop and drive automated solutions.
• Work collaboratively and implement solutions with partner teams.
• Identify and investigate new tools and technologies to improve the EDACloud environment.
