Job Description

KPMG is currently seeking a Security Engineer to join our Digital Nexus technology organization. This is a remote work opportunity.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support, participate and lead many projects and tasks performed by the Network Security Operations team for the firm, including interfacing with sponsors and customers
  • Team up with the IT architecture and engineering groups to help ensure alignment with business initiatives while adhering to the firm's guidelines and leading industry practices
  • Incident Resolution and management: Provide 2nd and 3rd level incident support; Diagnostics and corrective actions; Implementation and 3rd party engagement and coordination; Vulnerability management; on-call coverage
  • Ensure installed devices are OS and boilerplate compliant and testing of all new software releases; Create and maintain documentation of guidelines and standards for specific technologies; Assist in monitoring performance levels and trends throughout the firm to determine quality of service for the entire infrastructure
  • Interfaces closely with all customers including Applications, Tax, Audit and Global, as well as end users to enable the successful delivery of the firm's security monitoring services
  • Remain current on new hardware and software developments, evaluating alternative approaches and recommending new hardware/software modifications which will enhance the security monitoring services

Qualifications:

  • Minimum three years of recent Data Loss Prevention (DLP) experience preferably in a Symantec DLP; Hands-on experience with configuration, installation, upgrades of product and strong knowledge of Windows Operating systems
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university; or equivalent work experience
  • Working knowledge of SQL and experience with various platforms such as Oracle and MS SQL Server
  • Demonstrated experience in creating, modifying and troubleshooting policies; problem solving skills with emphasis on resolution of technical problems, demonstrate ability to quickly understand and remediate issues
  • Preferred knowledge of in scripting/coding for the purposes of automation; Ability to provide on-call coverage for escalated issues
  • US Citizenship is required
