Marketing Manager New Businesses & Services
The Marketing Manager New businesses & Services will lead the Canadian efforts to deliver new products, services and business models to accelerate customer acceptance and grow the business into new areas. This role will work closely with the Create the New Director in the Americas Region. This role will demonstrate a passion for solving the consumer/customer pain points, ultimately driving new growth in unexpected areas. This role will also be responsible for piloting new ideas and projects, embracing a “Test and learn” mentality, and championing the development of new concepts in the business.
What are we looking for?
- 8+ years of experience in marketing, sales, business management, product/Innovation management.
- Pet Industry and animal health experience are highly prioritized and strongly valued.
- Advanced degree(s) in business highly valued.
- Proven track record of delivering successful new products, services, platforms, campaigns or online tools.
- Digital savvy and passion for new technologies.
- Long standing proof of customer focus leading to successful business results.
- Demonstrated ability to test, learn, pivot on products and services to determine the best route-to-market
- Strong understanding of “market/product fit” concept within the desirability, feasibility, viability model.
- Understands and is passionate about leading within a Network/Ecosystem framework versus hierarchical
- Demonstrated knowledge of leveraging market research and consumer insight.
What would be your key responsibilities?
- Create and lead long term vision/strategy for Creating the New and innovations beyond nutrition (product, services, diagnostics & monitoring, digital) in the Canadian market.
- Develop and foster partnerships within the Mars Ecosystem to find opportunities for collaboration.
- Develop partnerships with companies dedicated to driving the growth within the veterinary industry.
- Lead the strategic direction for innovations beyond nutrition (services, digital, partnerships)
- Lead the pricing strategy for the Veterinary pillar, and work in collaboration with the business unit SRM (strategic Revenue Management) lead.
- Key lead for development of Economics of Mutuality strategies and execution plans within the Veterinary pillar.
- Champion test and learns and/ or pilots that help deliver mutual value for RC and customers.
- Requires extensive liaising with key stakeholders at local, regional and global levels, across multiple functions on an ongoing basis both internally and externally.
- Being accountable for business objective, strategy, planning, budget and timelines is critical.
- Ensure effective and successful execution of Creating the new projects, by liaising with all appropriate stakeholders and influencing where needed.
- Actively demonstrate to internal leaders and stakeholders’ behaviors consistent with Agility and User Centricity that enables the rest of the organization to accelerate skills that prepare the broader business to achieve our ambition and vision.
- Manage budget within Operational Plan guidelines.
- Partner to develop the cultural, organizational, and operational changes needed to run rapid experiments, tell the truth, learn from failure in real time, while embracing the sprint methodology.
