Summary
The Sr. Analyst is responsible for assisting with all aspects of the portfolio management process to ensure timely and accurate implementation of investment strategies across various portfolios. The incumbent will collaborate with investment teams and all internal cross-functional teams where necessary.
Responsibilities
- Builds strong working relationships with Santander teams
- Collects financial statements and reporting documentation and assisst in determining financial condition, credit-worthiness and project compliance for all borrowers
- Communicates effectively with borrowers and serves as one of the primary points of contact for loan closing and post-closing loan management
- Ensures accounts are being managed consistently with client guidelines
- Maintains loan portfolio management system and related databases
- Maintains working knowledge of loan policies and procedures
- Manages and maintains appropriate cash levels wherever necessary
- Mitigates Companywide operational risk within daily processing environment
- Monitors dispersion across portfolios within similar strategies and coordinating actions needed with portfolio teams
- Partners with all internal and external teams in support of funding new accounts, transfers-in-kind, client transitions and general account set up.
- Rebalances portfolios due to cash flows, guideline changes or general market movements
- Reviews and processes funding disbursement requests, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with loan conditions
- Tracks trading trends of Santander's products
- Tracks, analyzes, communicates, and makes recommendations to address loan delinquencies
- Works closely with the Finance department to ensure correct accounting for all loans

- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience - Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting or other equivalent field
- 0-5 years experience
- Ability to apply concepts, such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions, to practical situations
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups or managers, members, and general public
- Ability to manage a variety of projects from multiple team members simultaneously
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts, such as profitability and statistical inference
- Capacity to complete the project on time
- Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate electronic files and database systems
- Detail oriented, common sense decision-making; above average oral, written and communications skills
- Excellent member service skills
- Knowledge of underwriting and experience with all underwriting procedures
- Organized and self sufficient
- Strong quantitative reasoning and writing skills
