• 5 years of experience managing cross-functional security or compliance programs.
• Experience in information security, compliance, and/or risk management.
• Experience with infrastructure systems, security assessments and security processes.

About the job

The Google Cloud Risk Management and Governance is the team within the Cloud Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) organization that ensures risks are identified, assessed, categorized, tracked, prioritized, and correlated with appropriate risk mitigation. We enable the continued growth and value of the Google Cloud business while appropriately managing Google’s risk, and serve as the steward of Google Cloud’s risk strategy and ensure accountability and transparency of risk decisions. Our governance ensures transparency on Google Cloud’s risk posture and that business leaders throughout the company are well-positioned to make informed data driven decisions. In this role, you will directly lead and contribute to the continued building and managing of Google Cloud Risk and Governance. You will facilitate identification and presentation of risks across information security, compliance, privacy, reliability, and many other risk types. You will work closely with Engineering, Product Management, and Compliance teams to establish controls and risk tolerance levels, and have the chance to collaborate and create excellent partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the Cloud Risk strategy, Risk taxonomy, and Risk register.
• Lead and oversee security, compliance, and privacy risk management and trend analysis. Build and maintain dashboards for identified risks, treatment plans and trends.
• Govern the workflows and communications for risk issue escalations and incidents.
• Facilitate the Cloud Risk council, supporting committees and working groups.
• Develop the policies, procedures, and tools for identifying and managing risks.
