This position is for a Manufacturing Engineering Manager who is ready to own and drive the test process in a manufacturing plant environment. The candidate will have the responsibility to independently maintain Test Equipment uptime, Test area turnaround time, Test yield issues, develop tooling, implement projects to improve safety, Quality, velocity & cost issues related to Test area. The ideal candidate will be creative, energetic, and adaptable with a positive can-do attitude who can work with both hourly employees and management to support a high-paced production environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

• This is a Managerial role with no direct reports but likely to have direct reports in future.
• Take leadership role in driving actions in the development, planning & implementation of timely and effective corrective actions for Test yield issues during product testing.
• Use statistical analysis tools to perform Root cause analysis and corrective actions on Test Yield problems.
• Identify & implement process optimization & control methods to eliminate/prevent quality turn backs /escapes and reduce overall product costs.
• Drive targeted manufacturing process optimization activities through tools such as Value Stream Mapping and Process Flow Diagram, PFMEA, Control Plans, Measurement Systems Analysis, Yield & Cost curves and Qualification plan.
• The discipline and follow-through to fully document problem statements, observations, conclusions, calculations, and recommendations.
• Understand Metrics, KPI’s, leading/lagging indicators & how to use them to improve Overall Equipment Efficiency in test environment.
• Lead significant projects critical to improve manufacturing process capability, quality & safety performance.
• Capable of leading projects from developing business case all the way to production handoff including supplier & equipment selection.
• Generate and maintain project schedules with understood dependencies, deliveries, and critical path
• Develop standard work, procedures, and integrate industry-standard best practices.
• Prepare well-crafted presentations reporting project status to leadership teams

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience OR
• Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years’ experience OR
• In absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required
• Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Bachelor’s degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
• Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial or Electrical is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Continuous improvement methods (ACE or the DMAIC model) and demonstrated use of their tools is desirable.
• Exposure of working in Test environment & addressing Test equipment/process challenges.
• Advanced Degree and a minimum 5+ years prior relevant work experience is preferred.
• Project management is preferred
• Proficiency in statistics, data analytics, DOE, and multivariate statistics.
• Six Sigma project leadership/management/coaching experience preferred.
• ACE/CORE/ 6 Sigma Practitioner/Professional certification.
