The Role:

As a Senior Financial Advisor in our Global Enterprise and Mobility segment, you will play a meaningful role in supporting Viasat's Finance and Business Development organizations, and business area leaders, with pricing, customer pursuits and strategic investment decisions.

You will be empowered to provide and lead pricing and contract analyses for business area decision making! Working across our multifaceted financial and business development teams, you will be instrumental in helping Viasat achieve our revenue goals and meet strategic/operating plans for our pursuits across the segment, including Commercial and Business Aviation, Maritime, and Energy markets.

Requirements:

  • 8+years "hands-on" pricing, strategic investment, and Financial Planning and Analysis support experience.
  • Experience supporting new business development opportunities, strategic investments, customer proposals, and RFP responses.
  • Sophisticated Excel modeler who can build detailed cash flow models from the ground up with thoughtful structure, flexible assumptions, and organized output.
  • Strategic planning Expertise.
  • Strong DCF and ROI modeling capabilities.
  • Attention to detail while maintaining the ability to work under tight deadline.
  • Ambitious self-starter with the ability to deal with ambiguity.
  • Superior communication, time management and team building skills; as this position will interact with team members and leadership across the business area and corporate functions at all levels.
  • Outstanding communication, time management and team building skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or quantitative field.
  • Some travel may be required for both internal and external customers.
  • US Citizenship or Lawful Permanent Resident Status may be required for some projects, in which case verification of such status will be required upon accepting employment

Preferences:

  • MBA
  • International experience.
  • Satellite communications, airline, telecommunications or technology experience.
  • Experience supporting Business Development and/or Product Management teams.
