About the Role

You will initially report to the VP of People and work closely with business leaders in EMEA and APAC, guiding them to solve people-related topics. Human Resources Business Partners provide strategic and tactical consultation to optimize people, structure, process, and culture, with the goal of achieving superior business results. One of the key drivers to Mixpanel’s success is an emphasis on our people and enabling individuals and teams of all backgrounds to reach their full potential. The People function is critical in driving that effort through executing Mixpanel’s people initiatives, acting as strategic advisors to the executive team and senior leadership and providing superior internal support while driving HR operational excellence.

The ideal candidate is an experienced People Business Partner with a broad understanding of all areas of HR. You have experience influencing leaders in a fast-paced environment, and the interpersonal savvy required to drive engagement strategies and programs in a global workforce.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively coach and partner with leaders to build, lead and grow high-performing teams.
  • Effectively collaborate with other members of the People Team to contribute to the design and delivery of innovative programs that continually elevate the caliber of Mixpanel employees.
  • Proactively identify problems and propose scalable solutions with an eye toward enabling our employees to do their best work.
  • Work on all aspects of change management, from strategy and design to implementation and communications.
  • Monitor and evaluate our feedback channels and contribute to the design, development, and execution of initiatives to optimize the employee experience.
  • Investigate and resolve employee relations matters in a way that balances company, internal, and external stakeholder considerations.
  • Maintain an awareness of Human Resources principles, practices, and the related regulatory environments so you can effectively evaluate and recommend best practices in the application of HR systems and policies.

We're Looking For Someone Who Has

  • BA or equivalent work experience with an average of 4+ years in an HRBP role supporting a customer-facing organization such as Sales.
  • Deep functional experience in two or more areas preferred e.g. talent management/acquisition, compensation, employee relations, employee experience, organizational development, training, etc.
  • Strong analytical and project management skills, proven ability to design clear processes, and a detail-oriented yet flexible approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong commercial acumen and deep empathy for individuals, allowing you to resolve complex people situations in a balanced and thoughtful way.
  • Demonstrated success in consulting, negotiating, and coaching leaders.
  • Effective communicator and collaborator — you have strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills and know what level to communicate at depending on your audience. You are an excellent team player where no task is too small
  • High emotional intelligence and excellent judgment - you will be dealing with sensitive topics and will need to be able to manage key relationships effectively, acting in the interest of employees and the company at all times. You work highly independently but have a constant eye for collaboration and know when to seek approval.
  • Deeply skilled in change management. You know how to get people to understand that a best-in-class employee experience and building a more inclusive workplace are everyone’s job, while having a deep sense of personal accountability to drive change, see results and make things happen.
  • Adaptable, agile, and resilient, you embrace change, can move quickly, and are highly effective even when things are ambiguous.
  • A true believer and experienced practitioner in a “Employee is the customer” mindset
