Job Description

We are looking for Application Package Engineer for an immediate need. This is a client facing role & the candidate will have regular interactions with various client managers.

Job Description:
Provides support and engineering for client computing environment, with an emphasis on packaging and deploying PC desktop software to the macOS environment.
Works collaboratively (across domains) with all participants in software packaging and deployment activities; including software owners, application support teams, Information Security, technical engineers, testing, DevOps, project management and leadership.
Duties to include the following, but may vary with assignment:
· Document and package software for macOS environment
· Interface with internal partner teams and external vendors/contractors to provide a seamless and reliable computing experience to end users
· Work with application owners to define installation parameters and configurations
· Manage software requests in ServiceNow for new and update software requests
· Maintain packaging recipe to capture specifics, such as custom actions and scripts used to support the installation of software
· Perform OAT testing of packages to ensure successful install and uninstall
· Coordinate UAT testing of software packages with requester or LOB user
· Work with Security partners to whitelist software (Carbon Black)
· Creation of applications in Jamf
· Coordinate change requests to support implementation of new software and updates to existing software
· Schedule and manage production deployments of applications using JAMF
· Troubleshoot, resolve, and document any issues encountered during deployment
· Coordinate addition of software titles into user-facing software catalog

• Status reports
• Deployment schedules
• Issues log
• Change management
• Time tracking and reporting

Primary Skills:
o Apple macOS
o PowerShell and/or VBScript
o Application Packaging
o Jamf (preferably level 200 certified)
o Remote Deployment and Configuration via Jamf
o Active Directory and Group Policy

Secondary skills
o Personal Computing Hardware
o Systems troubleshooting
· Understanding of software whitelisting
· Understanding of software management lifecycle workflows and processes
· Experience with ServiceNow or similar ITAM system
· Experience with ServiceNow SAMp or similar IT Software Asset Management system
