It has been agreed that our AstraZeneca UK Commercial head office will move from Luton to Pancras Square, London in early 2022. This role will be initially based in our Luton office, until this move takes place.

Our move to Pancras Square offers us the strongest possible platform to transform the lives of patients in the UK, as the country’s leading biopharmaceutical company. It will bring AstraZeneca UK closer to our customers, partners and stakeholders in the UK’s healthcare environment, as well as foster greater collaboration with the wider AstraZeneca footprint.

What you’ll do

Working with our partners you will ensure supply and availability of AstraZeneca medicines to all customers of AstraZeneca UK. You will be responsible for ensuring products are supplied and managed in compliance with GMP/GDP guidelines and ensuring processes and policies for inventory management support the strategic and commercial objectives of AstraZeneca UK.

Key Accountabilities will include:

• Responsible for stock & inventory management processes and systems for the efficient supply of AstraZeneca products to Agents and end customers.
• To ensure and maintain balanced and compliant stock holding across the Distribution Centre and all Agent depots.
• Support core inventory processes including: Stock reconciliation; discrepancy management; stock losses and gains.
• Provide inventory input as required to monthly and weekly S&OP meetings.
• Collaborate with the wider team to ensure demand & environmental changes are highlighted to maintain high customer service levels.

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Highly numerate
• Highly developed Excel skills + advanced IT literacy
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Managing and influencing ‘remote’ relationships + suppliers
• Management and development of processes
• Analysis of data and trends in data sets

Desirable:

• Project management
• SAP
• Supply chain experience (in Pharmaceutical industry)
• Pharma industry experience (operations/manufacturing)
• Understanding of supply management
• Competition Law experience/knowledge
• Good understanding of European Cross border trade
