We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced Client Systems Engineer III - Vulnerability Management to join our team.

The Client Systems Engineer is a member of our Client Engineering team in IT. Our team leverages technology to establish scalable solutions that enable our employees to operate efficiently. This role is critical to our success in the scoping, planning, and developing of hardware and software solutions that help to keep our client technology infrastructure secure. We partner with the business and own our platform of internal tools throughout their lifecycle (intake, implementation, support, and retirement).

We are looking for an experienced Client Systems Engineer to assist in building out and executing our Vulnerability Management process, program and roadmap. You will partner closely with our Security and Global Service Desk teams to enforce established procedures and even develop/suggest new processes or operating procedures. You will leverage your in-depth knowledge of systems architecture, vulnerability management, patching, and security to solve a variety of challenges. You are an excellent communicator with a passion for technology, mentoring others and delivering world-class services.

Primary Responsibilities:


  • Adhere to endpoint security policies and partners with Security to meet risk and compliance requirements
  • Act as the IT security champion with an emphasis on also being the voice of the end user
  • Ensure Vulnerability management program is supportable, scalable, and adheres to corporate security policies
  • Continuous vulnerability management that includes scanning and remediation of employee endpoints
  • Provide advanced support for client-related systems, serves as escalation point for the Service Desk
  • Create KPIs, reports, metrics, and dashboards for endpoint software compliance including agent health, patching and vulnerability management processes
  • Engineer and implement security policy, programs, process, tools and metrics utilizing security frameworks such as Center of Internet Security controls focused on Inventory and Control of Hardware and Software Assets, Continuous Vulnerability Management, Secure Configuration for Hardware and Software on Laptops and Workstations, and Account Monitoring and Control
  • Operate, engineer and continual improvement of Corp IT security systems, software, and tools including but not limited to configuration management, vulnerability management, hardware and software inventory, identity and access, UEM and security logging
  • Continuous vulnerability management that includes scanning and remediation of endpoints - including OS and 3rd party software, adhering to vulnerability management program standards.
  • Actively manage inventory and control of authorized hardware and software assets function. Includes discovery, inventory, classification, and collaboratively designing solutions for prevention of unauthorized hardware and software
  • Collaborate with security team to develop and implement Secure Configuration for Hardware and Software on laptops and workstations (Windows and MacOS)
  • Act as primary liaison between IT Client Engineering Team and security teams for new projects and initiatives collaborating in problem analysis and solution design which can include subject matter expert level knowledge to ensure security and compliance requirements are met while balancing end user productivity and efficiency

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


  • Advanced understanding and troubleshooting capabilities of Windows and Apple clients
  • Technically proficient and knowledgeable in the end-to-end vulnerability management lifecycle
  • Strong ability to effectively prioritize work, balancing daily support responsibilities with project/product driven roles and actions to automate/evolve the environment
  • Strong ability to troubleshoot a complex issue down to potential contributing components, identify root case if possible or gather supporting evidence for escalation
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex systems to non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in related field (or equivalent experience) required
  • Minimum of 5+ years IT experience focused on client and endpoint management
  • Experience performing IT Security Operations and Engineering including incident response, vulnerability assessment, continuous monitoring, security technology planning, implementation and operation
  • CISSP, CEH, SANS certifications, technology certifications and other security certifications is a plus
  • Demonstrable scripting and automation experience (preferred)
  • JAMF Pro 100-400 level course training (preferred)
  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate (preferred)
  • ITIL Foundation Certification (preferred)
