Here at Zynga, Data Science and Analytics team uses the latest analytics technologies across our expansive data to deliver fundamental insights on who our audience is, how they engage with our games, and what are the best ways to personalize their in-game experience. We strive for a better understanding of our players which translates into challenges and features that delight them.

For this opportunity, we are looking for someone who:

• enjoys partnering with both technical and non-technical peers to solve complex puzzles with data
• is passionate about using analytics and data science to make a direct impact on business
• is intrigued by building various innovative and scalable data tools
• stays curious about new technologies

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the product leadership with a focus on generating actionable insights and end-to-end data solutions that have a measurable impact on the top line metrics.
• Leverage our modern tech stack, AWS (Redshift & Kinesis), DataBricks and PySpark, Airflow, and Tableau to create innovative data products, carry out thorough analyses, and advise business decisions - all with the common goal of improving the experience that Zynga provides to its players
• Design and evaluate novel scalable approaches to experiments for gameplay, using our in-house experimentation platform
• Specifically, you may encounter projects focused on: crafting analytical plans to improve our understanding of player engagement patterns, simulating Slots player experience in a virtual game environment, or building high stake reporting that drives business decisions.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• BS in Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Economics, or other quantitative field; Masters or PhD strongly preferred
• Proficient in SQL, Python, and other programming languages; Knowledgeable of experimentation, statistical modeling, and machine learning
• Track record of success in user behavior analyses driven by large scale datasets
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and coordinate complex initiatives with different stakeholders
