Our team in Austin, TX is looking for a Finance Manager, US Commercial Operations. Responsible for financial support and business advisory role (including analysis, reporting and executive communication) to Abbott Neuromodulation’s US Commercial Excellence and Enterprise Accounts teams. Lead coordination and delivery of executive level requests and key business initiatives. This role is a high visibility individual contributor and requires use of appropriate concepts and techniques combined with general business knowledge to identify risks/opportunities, develop strategy and implement solutions..

Responsibilities

  • Support Commercial Excellence team in driving key business initiatives and process improvements impacting the US field sales organization
  • Analyze complex contract proposals for the Enterprise Account teams, provide guidance on strategy and act as primary point of contact for executive level reporting and communication.
  • Direct performance of complex financial analysis and select course of action by utilizing appropriate financial tools.
  • Quickly analyze detailed data sets and condense into focused content for effective decision making
  • Perform detailed financial analysis incorporating historic, trended and current business information and provide insights into business risks and opportunities
  • Manage preparation and distribution of financial reports and packages by gathering and analyzing information related to current performance.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for continued improvement and simplification of financial and business processes.
  • Develop and utilize sound financial processes to drive improved business performance.

Accountability

  • Ensures appropriate integrity and reasonableness of financial data as well as compliance with Corporate/Division financial policies and procedures, and understanding of GAAP.
  • Responsible for adherence to Abbott accounting policies and procedures (CFMs).
  • Provide financial support and fully support achievement of financial plans, goals and objectives.
  • Seek guidance and deliver proposed solutions on issues outside of normal scope.
  • Very organized with good interpersonal, communication, and presentations skills.
  • Oversee projects with significant interface across functions and groups.
  • Balance demands of a variety of customers with potentially conflicting goals.
  • Meet deadlines and balance workload requirements.
  • Accountable for meeting critical project deliverables.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred in accounting or finance. Six plus years of accounting or finance related experience. Ability to analyze, interpret and present data for effective decision making. Ability to plan, implement, and administer financial information and control systems. Knowledge of the principles, processes and standards for integrated financial analysis and reporting. Advanced Excel skills with general understanding of financial accounting systems.
