The Nordic Marketing Company (Nordic) employs around 400 people across 5 countries and has offices located in Södertälje, Copenhagen, Helsinki and Oslo. By 2025 AstraZeneca Nordic aims to become a recognized leader in its core therapy areas and improve the lives of millions of people. This will be achieved by driving innovative science, delivering key launches, building close collaboration and partnerships with stakeholders in health care systems, and developing high-performing teams.
We are now looking for a Nordic Franchise Head Infectious Diseases to lead our growing Infectious Disease portfolio.
The role
As Nordic Franchise Head Infectious Disease for the Nordics you are a key leader in the Nordic BioPharmaceutical Business Unit (BBU), one of AstraZeneca’s key growth platforms. You are accountable for driving Infectious Disease performance and managing the brands across markets. This includes developing the long-range franchise plan & strategic priorities including appropriate resource planning and assignment of responsibilities.
You are a confident and inclusive leader who will build, coach, inspire and develop a high performing diverse team, comprising brand managers and sales, to innovate and compete effectively in-market through cohesive cross-functional working both internally and externally. You also like to find creative solutions and test new ways of bringing our medicines to patients, using digital and virtual channels.
You are part of the Nordic Leadership team and contribute to the overall strategy in the Nordics. This also includes influencing and shaping the Global/European strategies and deliverables according to Nordic needs as well as leading the development and implementation of the strategic and tactical plan, as well as the Cross-functional Nordic Franchise Team.
This role will report into Nordic Country President.
What you will do
In order to succeed, essential requirements are:
Your proven success in launching products into competitive environments will be as important in this role as will be your strong track record of leading and developing cross-functional teams without formal line management responsibility.
You partner with multidisciplinary functions and therefore must have proven ability interacting with and influencing regional and global internal stakeholders. This includes excellent communication and presentation skills, proficient in written and spoken English.
