Get to know the team

GrabRentals (GR) is a dynamic and evolving team responsible for bridging various key departments. We make an impact by delivering timely and seamless handover of cars to subsequent partners. We ensure all GR assets are accounted for, maintained and turn-around in the shortest possible time to fully optimize our assets.

Get to know the role:

A fast-paced non-desk-bound role that requires us to be constantly active. We serve as the collection and return point to our GrabRentals drivers, providing detailed handover of the vehicles and proactively resolving our drivers’ concerns.

  • Respond to inquiries related to GrabRentals products and services in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with various GrabRentals teams to escalate and solve requests
  • Build rapport with internal stakeholders and other verticals to streamline and maintain smooth operations
  • Maintain and be accountable for the GrabRentals’ assets
  • Process rental waivers, reimbursements and credit notes for vehicle-related matters
  • Educating partners through physical vehicle checks and conducting a briefing on the Do’s and Don’ts as a private hire driver

The Day-to-Day Activities:

  • Responsible for performing handing over of assets over to the subsequent hirer
  • Perform inspection of interior & exterior of assets
  • Perform pre-inspection of the vehicle for subsequent checkout
  • Coordinate vehicles movement
  • Accurate accountability of assets in fleet management system
  • Communicate with customers regarding services recommended and performed
  • Work with parallel departments and vendors, manage information flow between authorized workshops, GrabRentals & drivers for smooth transactions of assets
  • Harmonize expectations on vehicle condition with a partner (minimal disputes)
  • Provide technical advice to the driver with regards to vehicle functionality and familiarization

The Must-Haves:

  • At least 1-years of operations and customer service experience
  • Valid driving license 3 or 3A required, with 2B license as an advantage
  • Fluent written and spoken English is required, with local second language as an advantage
  • Self-motivated individual who is capable of getting things done within an allocated time frame.
  • Able to work independently and deal effectively with complex, changing, and ambiguous environments with other related departments or as a team, with minimal supervision
  • Able to initiate and maintain strong relationships internally and externally
  • Strong people skills with a customer-oriented service attitude
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, knowledge of Excel formulas and functions, and Google applications preferred. Competency in data analysis will be advantages

This Data Protection Notice / Privacy Policy describes how GrabTaxi Holdings Pte Ltd (“Grab”) and its respective subsidiaries, associate companies and jointly controlled entities (“Grab Group”) uses your Personal Data.

“Personal Data” means information about you, from which you are identifiable, including but not limited to your name, identification card number, passport number, nationality, address, telephone number, race, gender, date of birth, marital status, resident status, education background, email address, your occupation, and any other information about you that has been or may be collected, stored, used and processed by Grab Group from time to time which may include sensitive personal data such as data relating to health, political, religious or other similar beliefs.

In some circumstances, you may have provided Personal Data relating to other individuals (such as your referees) and in such circumstances you represent and warrant that you are authorized to provide their Personal Data to the Grab Group and you have obtained their consent for their Personal Data be processed and used in the manner as set forth in this Notice.

When the Personal Data requested through this tool is mandatory, you must provide and agree to the processing of this Personal Data by Grab Group. However, if you do not provide Grab Group your Personal Data, Grab Group will not be able to process your Personal Data for the purposes outlined below and your application may be rejected.

The information provided by you in your employment application will be stored in the GRAB Candidate Application Database. The purposes for which Grab Group processes your Personal Data are as follows:

  1. To verify your identity;
  2. To assess and/or verify your suitability and employability;
  3. To contact you in respect of your application;
  4. To perform other related activities (including surveying and research activities to improve Grab's recruiting processes);
  5. To consider you for future potential opportunities and may include a link to your public social media profile(s) which you have authorized Grab to access by applying with a social media widget/button.

Your information will be accessed by Grab’s internal recruiters, hiring managers, potential managers in the hiring organization and the associated technical and human resources supporting staff. If you decide not to provide us with your personal data in any of the mandatory fields, we will not be able to continue with your employment application using this tool.
