The Program Security Representative will have the opportunity to implement multiple aspects of Security including program, physical, operational and communications in the Colorado Springs, CO area.
Responsibilities include:
- Support the Security program encompassing classified and/or proprietary materials, documents, employee clearances, and classified equipment.
- Support program compliance to all requirements stated in the CFR 32 Part 117 and National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM, DoD 5220.22-M).
- Partner with internal and external customers and teammates.
- Keep current on all changes to security policy and directives issued by cognizant Government Security organizations.
- Provide security support of classified programs to include but not limited to maintaining access lists and control, document control and markings, providing security briefings, controlling employee identification cards and records, processing both incoming and outgoing visit authorization requests, handling incoming and outgoing classified mail, maintaining accountability of classified material, attending program meetings, providing assistance in classification determination and investigating security violations/incidents.
- Assist in implementing local security procedures in conjunction with corporate and government security regulations.
- Update local records via electronic databases and assist in conducting internal and government required self-inspections.
- Assist the Facility Security Officer (FSO) in the development of consistent practices and policies ensuring the correct implementation of the tools across the program.
The selected applicant will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Candidate will typically have a Bachelors degree and 6+ years of experience.
Basic Qualifications:
- Active DoD Top Secret with ability to obtain SCI eligibility - Knowledge of CFR 32 Part 117 and DoD 5205.07/DCID series documents - Good working knowledge of OPSEC and Counterintelligence
Desired Skills:
- Previous success in collateral programs as a Program Security Representative - Previous experience as a CSSO or CPSO and/or experience as SAP Security professional - Previous experience as a Top Secret Control Officer (TSCO) - Knowledge of JPAS, SIMS, NISS, and DISS
- Knowledge and ability to prepare DD Form 254
