What is the opportunity?

As the Team Lead – Deposit Operations, you will provide supervisory oversight for daily Deposit Operations processing and activities to include approval decisions necessary to effectively complete work assignments. You will be considered in charge and accountable for Deposit Operations in the absence of the Senior Manager, Deposit Operations and must be able to discern when an issue should be escalated to a more senior level of management and/or requires assistance to make an appropriate decision. In addition, you will evaluate and make approval recommendations outside of their personal Delegated Authority to various levels of management which requires strong communication skills to be able to clearly articulate their position and justification. You will be considered the Subject Matter Expert on process, procedure, systems and applications used to fulfill the duties of the team and must always be seeking to identify areas for improvement, formulate recommendations and be able to build out, implement and tracking the changes needed to effectively improve the process.

What will you do?

  • Manages the Deposit Operations and Fulfillment day-today business activities and is responsible for ensuring all tasks are within SLA’s and each client interaction is reflective of the RBC Bank brand and commitment to client experience.
  • Demonstrates leadership skills to manage direct reporting accountabilities of 4-5 direct reports as well as the skills to be able to impact and influence members of the team that do not report directly.
  • Identifies process improvements and leads the design and implementation of related enhancements or changes
  • Identifies required procedure updates and ensures they are updated and implemented with the appropriate Deposit Operations team(s)
  • Will lead the design and build of staffing models for all key processes to monitor and assess productivity, and capacity limits across deposit operations.
  • Will lead the design and build of Deposit Operations Dashboard to provide performance visibility as it relates to key metrics.
  • Will be responsible for the effectiveness and change management of capacity and productivity models/tools.
  • Manages procedures to ensure they are up-to-date, and has a full understanding any related procedures and ensures they are updated and in alignment.
  • Expected to be proficient and the SME for Deposit Operations tasks to support and participate in end to end process mapping and customer journey exercises to ensure optimization and efficiency opportunities are identified, prioritized and implemented on time.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • 3+ years of deposit operations or related experience
  • Customer focused, problem solving, analytical mindset and passion for understanding the end to end process and impact on the client
  • Community College, Bachelor’s Degree or Higher
  • Expertise in Banking Operations and Regulatory Requirements
  • Good presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, ability to achieve results through vendors, team members, and business partners, proficient organizational skills, and a demonstrated passion for execution excellence
