The Finance Manager is a key member of the EU Controllership team, responsible for maintaining and driving controllership rigor and discipline and ensuring statutory and regulatory compliance across EU entities. This role is based in Luxembourg European HQ. This position will work closely with regional finance stakeholders in tax and treasury and Accounting COE for setting up and running controllership governance processes to support business growth in these markets.
Accounting and Financial governance
- Preparation of monthly financial reports and analytics to support a structured risk-based monthly financial review
- Work closely with shared services team to ensure transactions are recorded in compliance with US GAAP / IFRS and/or Local Gap depending on the entity under review
- Ensure regular review of account reconciliations including follow up and closure of open items
- Ensure timely completion of statutory audits for all entities
- Review business processes to improve/ strengthen internal controls and track remediation of control deficiencies
- Work closely with tax, transfer pricing and Intercompany teams to ensure tax structure is appropriately operationalized
Regulatory and tax compliance
- Ensure compliance with local regulatory reporting to statistical and commercial bureaus
- Liaise with tax team to ensure timely direct and Indirect tax filings
Support business team on new products
- Playing the role of a key stakeholder providing inputs during the build phase. Ensuring sustainable processes and controls are setup to support new product introduction in local markets.
- Playing a key role in the GEM – Entity Management team to ensure new regulations and changes are incorporated and operationalized in a timely manner to support growth

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited University / Business School
- CPA or CA qualification preferred
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP / IFRS
- 4-5 years of relevant experience in accounting
- Experience with audit procedures and SOX compliance requirements
- Prior working experience in a Big4 audit firm preferred
- Ability to proficiently use Microsoft Office software tools, especially advanced MS excel skills
Essential
- Strong English speaking and writing skills, any other European language is an advantage
- Some knowledge in indirect tax, corporate income tax and transfer pricing
- Good business partnering skills working with various people across different organizations both internal as well as external
- Able to drive changes to improve processes
Desirable
- Experience of working in industry within a regulated environment
- Knowledge of Lux Gap
- Interest in e-commerce
- Familiar with use of SAP system and BW tools
