US High Yield Algo Trader

What is the opportunity?

To trade US High Yield Credit within the GSP Credit Algo business

What will you do?

• Manage the risk in the High Yield Corporate Bond Portfolio within the US Credit Algo business
• Control the quoting parameters for electronic trading of High Yield odd-lot bond enquiry
• Leverage HY trading desk and desk analyst expertise to stay abreast of corporate fundamentals and developing credit stories
• Partner with desk quants and developers to enhance quoting algorithms and develop portfolio risk management analytics
• Work with Traders and Quants to help build out capabilities in High Yield ETFs and Portfolio trading
• Manage risk in accordance with RBC desk policy
• Proactively identify operational risks/ control deficiencies in the business
• Review and comply with Firm Policies applicable to your business activities
• Escalate operational risk loss events, control deficiencies and risks that you identify to your line manager and the relevant risk and control functions on a timely basis.
  

What do you need to succeed?

• Series 7 / 63 required
• Strong understanding of US High Yield Credit analysis and risk management
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience
• Must possess strong math skills
• Familiarity with algorithmic trading and eTrading venues and protocols a plus
• Programing in Python and familiarity with SQL/ Q is advantageous
• Must be well organized and able to quickly prioritize tasks under pressure
• Must be committed team player with a can-do attitude
• Strong and effective communication skills
