The Challenge:
Crave a challenge that is also rewarding? This is an operational support role to an active fighter unit; you will be responsible for the security and integrity of our systems that keep our jets flying.
It takes more than steel, advanced electronics and engine thrust to make the F-35 Lightning II, the world's fifth generation fighter, take flight. It is the Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS) that gives F-35 Lightning II operators the ability to plan, to maintain, to plan and sustain its systems over the life of the air vehicle. ALIS provides the IT backbone and capabilities to support current and future Warfighters across the U.S. and allied military services.
ALIS System Administrators are expected to provide maintenance of ALIS to include performing backups, applying any operating system updates and configuration changes, installing information assurance vulnerability alerts (IAVAs), installing and configuring any new hardware/software on board Amphibious Assault Ships or Aircraft Carriers. System Administrators are generally the first point of contact for customer inquiries and are responsible for adding/deleting/modifying user account information, resetting passwords, answering technical queries, responsibility for security, responsibility for documenting the configuration of the system, and troubleshooting any reported problems.
As critical members of the F35 Operations Team all ALIS System Administrators must be able to:
• Obtain and maintain Special Access Program clearance required for program access
• Be willing and able to travel for military deployments/detachments (ship and/or shore) for extended periods dependent upon operational needs.
• Capable of working various shift hours to include weekends to support customer mission requirements

A Day in the Life:
As an Administrator with our JSF ALIS team partnering with our customer, you will hold many hats, primarily maintaining smooth operation of multi-user systems, from tuning system performance, installing system wide software, to allocating mass storage space. You will also be frequently relied on as our customer’s point of contact, there to field any questions and/or concerns.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Backups, restores, and disaster recovery of the system
• System/software/user/account maintenance and monitoring
• Installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space
• Interacting daily with users and acting as a Subject Matter Expert for the ALIS product suite
• Maintaining smooth, secure operation of multi-user computer systems through coordination with other administrative disciplines
• Training System Administrators and users on the ALIS system as needed

Basic Qualifications:
• Active In Scope DOD Top Secret Clearance with investigation within last 6 years
• Windows System Administration Experience
• Have, or be able to obtain and retain DoD IAT Level II certification (Security+, CySA+, or CCNA)
Desired Skills:
• Current DoD IAT Level II certification (Security+, CySA+, or CCNA)
• Experience Troubleshooting Web Applications
• JBOSS (WildFly) Application Server Familiarity
• Microsoft Certified System Administrator/Engineer
• User Account Maintenance using Active Directory
• Disaster recovery: backups and restores of physical servers (Win2012) and virtual machines
• Hyper-V Virtual Machine Management Service
• MS Windows Server Operating System
• Maintaining/upgrading system hardware and startup/shutdown of rack components
• Applying operating system updates, anti-virus/anti-spyware updates, and patch updates
• Use of Splunk Log Aggregation and Dashboard
• Red Hat Enterprise Linux System Administrator
• JBOSS Enterprise Application Platform
• Networking Administration experience
• Database Administration experience
• SQL experience
• Military Aviation Maintenance experience
• Logistics experience
• Familiarity with Lockheed Martin products and processes, to include the JSF ALIS hardware and software
A level 3 employee Typically has 5 - 10 years of professional experience.
