Job Description Join BAE Systems' Intelligence and Security Sector and be part of an agile team that enables our employees to support our customers and their missions. As a Network Engineer, you will analyze, design, develop, and/or maintain software and hardware needed for network communications including local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), the internet, intranets, and other data communication systems. Collaborating with an innovative technical team, you will develop network support processes, procedures, and guidelines for troubleshooting network events (and performing sustaining tasks). The Network Engineer serves as the technical interface with vendors and other external stakeholders, making recommendations on network/security service and maintenance arrangements. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to design and maintain network environments that comply with relevant compliance standards, taking a leading role in the evaluation of new technologies and consultation with senior management. You will review technical documentation of supported environments to ensure accuracy and relevance, supporting the larger IT team and the ongoing mission.
Note: Must be able to maintain an active TS/SCI CI Polygraph.
Salary Range: $50,500 - $176,900

Required Education, Experience, & Skills Education:
- Junior - HS Diploma / GED & 6 yrs, Associates & 4 yrs, Bachelors & 2 yrs, or Masters
- Journeyman - HS Diploma / GED & 8 yrs, Associates & 6 yrs, Bachelors & 4 yrs, or Masters & 2 yrs, or PhD
- Senior - HS Diploma / GED & 10 yrs, Associates & 8 yrs, Bachelors & 6 yrs, Masters & 4 yrs, or PhD & 2 yrs
- Subject Matter Expert - HS Diploma / GED & 12 yrs, Associates & 10 yrs, Bachelors & 8 yrs, or Masters & 6 yrs, or PhD & 4 yrs
Skills/Experience:
- Possess experience with most common network components to include routers, switches, firewalls, protocols, VoIP, DNS, remote access, VPN, routing, and switching. Also has knowledge of TCP/IP routing technologies including OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP, in addition to knowledge of applicable business lines/industries
- Communicate complex concepts and data effectively and creatively (both written and oral) across multiple organizations, both internal & external, and with executive company and customer management
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of existing network and/or security hardware and software in use to provide third-tier technical and administrative support, and provide complex internal analysis and support of the network and/or security infrastructure
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Bachelor's and the following years' experience:

- Journeyman - 4+ yrs
- Sr - 6+ yrs
- SME - 8+ yrs
