We are seeking a Section Manager for our CEMA Integrated Test Engineering (ITE) organization. The ITE organization develops and delivers test solutions for our complex electronic products to both our factories and to our engineering teams. In this role, you will manage and develop a medium sized staff of Test Engineers and collaborate closely with the business to be able to provide the right personnel to each project.
In addition to staffing and people development responsibilities, you will be responsible for partnering with leads on projects within the CEMA business area to help ensure that business objectives are met, and that test engineering has consistent, predictable performance. You will participate directly on test capability development across the business area as a mentor and reviewer.
Integrated Test Engineering is fast paced and dynamic. You will need to be self-motivated, and highly collaborative to succeed in this role.
Responsibilities:

• Section managers are important members of the ITE Leadership team. This Front Line Leader role has 2 major responsibilities:
  • Partner and collaborate with the business leaders to ensure business objectives are achieved.
  • Developing the technical and professional skills of the team
• Manage staffing and provide resources to projects
• Work closely with product line engineering to ensure alignment and understanding of the required test capabilities and functions.
• Responsible for implementation of ITE Strategy and processes
• Partner with operations and the factory to ensure customer satisfaction
• Developing Basis of Estimates (BOEs) for Non-Recurring Engineering (NRE) tasks
• Attract and retain staff to support the business; resolve any resource or staffing issues.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills BS Degree in Engineering with at least 12 years of work experience, or equivalent experience.

• Minimum of 10+ years or comparable test engineering related experience preferred.
• Familiarity with production test processes and systems
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to obtain Secret US security clearance

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

• Familiar with design for test paradigms, test software, and data analytics
• Experience with product development using the AS-9145 process or similar
• Cost Estimating and proposal experience
• Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering
• Prior success leading teams and managing projects.
• A continuous improvement mindset to enhance manufacturing test methods through process modernization.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven performance in management, mentoring, coaching and communication skills.
