In this role, you have the opportunity to develop, design and optimize electrical & electronics parts, components and assemblies for patient monitors. As member of an international cross-functional team you work closely together with hardware engineers, product industrialization engineers, procurement experts, and external partners.

Your responsibilities:

  • You will support the world market leader in the development of its patient monitoring systems product line through your contribution in the area of electronic hardware development.
  • You will work in close cooperation with various other departments within the international R&D organization.
  • This job requires the ability to familiarize yourself quickly and in detail with various areas, as well as outstanding communication skills in English and excellent technical expertise.
  • Commitment, flexibility, high quality awareness and good cooperation with diverse partners is essential for our success.
  • Responsible for the design, check and optimization, realization and integration and verification of (elements and parts of) products, systems and/or solutions.
  • Develops the work with focus on user and business requirements, compliance, quality and cost.
  • Develops high level and detailed designs in accordance with the product requirements and Philips reference architecture requirements.
  • Finalizes the design and integration, and writes verification plans for the developed elements and parts. Tests, analyses and verifies the quality of the design.
  • Ensures that documentation takes place according to the provided templates from the I2M processes.

You are a part of the Connected Care cluster organization focusing on development of mechanical and electrical designs for a common platform serving multiple product lines. The Electronics Design team is a young team responsible for the development of hardware platform elements for various patient monitors. It is interdisciplinary and intercultural and drives new product development as well as modularization of Philips patient monitors. Healthcare Innovation Center (HIC), Pune is playing a key role in Philips global strategy for Connected Care businesses.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, communications engineering, computer engineering or equivalent (FH, DH, Uni).
  • In-depth knowledge and 12+ years of experience in development of electronic circuit design
  • Knowledge of the CAD system Mentor Xpedition (Schematic Input and Constraint Management).
  • Passionate about continuous learning & adapt to new technologies, methods and approaches
  • High ability to organize self and are willing to integrate into a team to achieve ambitious goals together
  • Fluent in English Communication
