Within Retirement Plan Services, the Plan Administration team is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate processing of plan and participant transactions for 1000+ plan sponsor clients and 1.4 million participants. The team is responsible for administering qualified defined contribution plans such as 401k plans, money purchase plans, profit sharing plans, defined benefit plans and non-qualified plans.
The Trading and Asset Maintenance Department of Schwab Retirement Plan Services (RPS) is responsible for the trading of retirement plan assets and the ongoing maintenance of investment options within those plans for our RPS clients. Along with timely and accurate execution of trade orders and successful management of plan assets, the department’s goal is to leverage technology and other RPS departments to identify opportunities to improve the service provided to our clients and to automate processes and improve efficiencies and quality while keeping a continuous focus on mitigating financial risk to the firm.
The Trading Operations Sr. Specialist will work closely with other team members to complete daily activities to ensure the proper importing of NAVs (prices) into the record keeping system, execute mutual fund and equity trade orders through a variety of trading platforms, verify the completion of all requested transactions, resolve or escalate trading, settlement and participant exchange issues, process plan rebalances, manage plan investment changes and various other responsibilities, as assigned.
