To qualify, you must be pursuing a degree from an accredited college or university, and plan to graduate after the final day of the internship. Most of our interns participate the summer between their junior and senior years. Our 2022 internship will start on June 1, 2022 and last through August 12, 2022.

Job Description Summary:

Brand Project Manager Interns facilitate and engage in the planning, execution, and delivery work efforts intended to accomplish business goals and objectives within prescribed timeframes and budgets. Interns will collaborate with key partners, vendors and project/program teams to identify mutually beneficial outcomes for competing priorities and negotiate timelines to ensure objectives are met.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Meet regularly with senior leaders of the Brand team
  • Develop executive level presentations
  • Gain exposure to internal and external communication channels for marketing, media relations, reputation management
  • Assist with data aggregation and representation
  • Perform business case development, including gathering requirements, analyzing industry trends, researching historical data
  • Review industry standards and trends
  • Provide recommendations on current and future philanthropic endeavors and nation-wide community affairs, present findings, solutions, recommendations to all levels of Brand management
  • Performs professional duties in support of operations for the functional area assigned
  • Applies foundational functional knowledge to produce results related to departmental initiatives
  • Manages limited departmental projects and/or participates as a project resource on larger initiatives. Finds opportunities and facilitates basic improvements to processes and systems
  • May assist with implementation of business solutions to meet business needs. Contributes to compliance, product competitiveness, and profitable growth
  • May interact with clients for technical requests to understand requirements and limitations in different phases of project lifecycle to include research, testing and implementation
  • Performs routine tasks under direct supervision and within established procedures and guidelines

Minimum Education:

  • Currently pursuing an MBA degree at an accredited university
  • Graduation date cannot be prior to August 12, 2022

Minimum Experience:

  • 4 years of related experience and accountability for simple to moderately complex tasks and/or projects required
  • Foundational and conceptual knowledge of the function/field and demonstrated application of knowledge, skills and abilities towards work products required
  • Foundational level of business acumen in the areas of the business operations, industry practices and emerging trends required

Preferred Education:

  • Current or former education with a concentration in Marketing or Branding (in addition to MBA)
  • Graduation date between August 13, 2022 and July 2023

Preferred Experience:

  • Strong analytical skills, strong collaborative communication skills, and solutions-oriented
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Access or similar spreadsheet, presentation, word processing and database tools

Compensation:

USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the hourly range based on your experience and market position. The hourly range for this position is: $40 per hour.

Interns will receive an intern stipend to assist with expenses.
