What You Will Be Doing - Administer employee benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k), ACA, Flexible Benefits (FSA), and leaves of absence
- Support consultant and employees by providing excellent customer service and researching questions via email, phone, and instant message
- Work with FSA and HSA vendors on weekly payroll contribution files
- Communicate with the HR department and employees about the leave program and what options are available
- Ensure compliance with the 401(k) plan through the established SPD/Prospectus and Plan Documents
- Assist with annual 401(k) audit, partner with 401(k) record keeper and audit firm to ensure the 5500 form filing and nondiscrimination testing is completed timely and accurately
- Assist with year-end discretionary company match contributions, monthly accrual, and match communications
- Assist employees with questions regarding 401(k), as well as other benefit plans
- Works with 401(k) record keeper on quarterly 401(k) deferral audit to identify discrepancies between PeopleSoft and 401(k) record keeper
- Review highly compensated employees (HCEs) annually; work with record keeper and initiate applicable communications
" Perform weekly 401(k) deferral audits, quarterly employee payroll audits, and audit payroll earnings codes to assure compliance with 401(k)
- Function as a liaison between vendors and employees
- Perform complex to semi-complex audit and reconciliation of employee eligibility and participation
- Provide back-up to members of the Benefits team
- Special projects as assigned What You Need for this Position - Ability to be in-office (post-COVID reopening) in either Calabasas, CA or Beverly, MA
- Bachelors degree preferred; Associates degree required
- CEBS, CBP, PHR, or other related certification a plus
- 4-6 years related experience and/or training
- Working knowledge of employee benefit plans including 401(k) and leave of absence management for multi-states
- Proficient using MS Office products with advanced Excel skills
- Familiarity with MS Teams a plus
- PeopleSoft experience is a plus
- Demonstrated time-management and organization skills
- Strong ability to interface with all levels of the organization required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Team player who is a resourceful, creative, outgoing, energetic person with a demonstrable track record of exceeding goals
