About the role:

This recruiter will be based near our NYC headquarters on either a full time or hybrid basis, recruiting across the organization with an emphasis on tech. We partner with the business to hire the best people, with our amazing coordinators to design and execute the best candidate experience, and with the entire recruiting team to evolve our process. We work fast, hard and smart. We listen to creative ideas that will make us better. And, we have fun while we’re doing it!

This is a campus and early careers-focused role, so you get to do everything: understand the business, run the early careers program, build sourcing strategies to attract the best talent, and executive the full recruiting lifecycle from defining job specs to closing great candidates!

Responsibilities:

  • Own the interview lifecycle for technical (engineering, product, data science) intern, new grad and apprentice candidates
  • Manage recruitment events (e.g., career fairs, campus hackathons, info sessions) from planning through execution at key universities and partner organizations
  • Run and iterate upon existing early careers programming as new hires begin their journey at Oscar
  • Maintain reporting and hiring metrics with an eye towards optimizing the recruiting funnel
  • Create sourcing and partnership strategies that will reach a broad audience and connect with underrepresented candidates
  • Partner with key leaders across the organization to expand the footprint of our early careers program

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience (apprenticeship, university, or industry)
  • 1+ years of experience leading a university/early career program
  • Self-organization, focus, multi-tasking, and software savviness are the basics
  • Experience using metrics, data analysis, and reporting to drive program outcomes
  • You’re a relationship builder and proactively engage with hiring managers and candidates
  • Passion for keeping up with industry trends and the latest sourcing tools
  • An entrepreneurial mindset, love driving process, and take ownership of the candidate journey end-to-end
